Captured Comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) from my driveway this morning.
Starting with Celestron 25 x 70mm Skymaster binoculars on a tripod, I detected the tail slowly rising over trees along my north easter horizon just after 4 am. After this first glimpse of the tail, I shifted position and immediately could make out the dense coma and double tail shining brightly.
As the comet cleared the trees, I hooked up my Galaxy first to the Skymaster binos, then to my Meade ETX-60 refractor. Over the next nights, I plan to break out the 4.5-inch Newtonian reflector.
